How gains and losses are worked out
Updated July 25, 2026
Two Types of PnL
- Unrealized PnL: For positions that are not yet closed, this is the on-paper profit or loss estimated at the latest price. It changes in real time with the price.
- Realized PnL: The actual profit or loss of a round that has already been closed, with exchange trading fees already deducted.
How Amounts Are Shown
- Amounts on the home page and strategy page are all shown valued in USDT (other quote currencies are automatically converted).
- Percentages are kept to 3 decimal places.
- The profit tab only counts closed cycles; the leg that is still opening is not included.
On-paper unrealized PnL is only an estimate; what you actually pocket is based on realized PnL.
