Pause and stop are not the same thing
Updated July 25, 2026
The two actions have completely different results, so choose based on your needs:
⏸️ Pause (recommended for everyday use)
- Freezes the strategy, does not close positions, and keeps the current position and state.
- Tap "Resume" anytime to continue seamlessly, as if it never stopped.
- Good for: temporarily watching the market, unclear conditions, stepping away briefly.
⏹️ Stop
- Closes the current position, realizes the current PnL, ends this round, and clears the state.
- Starting again is a brand-new round; it will not carry over the previous position.
- The position is closed at the market price at that moment, so there may be slippage when market conditions are poor.
In short: use Pause if you want to keep running later; only use Stop when you're sure you're done and settling up.
