Linking an exchange account
Updated July 25, 2026
TrendX connects to your own exchange account via an API Key to place orders, and never touches your funds throughout the process.
Don't Have an Exchange Account Yet?
First go to the corresponding exchange (Binance / OKX / HTX / Bittime), register and complete identity verification, deposit funds for trading (such as USDT), then come back to bind it.
How to Apply for an API Key
- Log in to the exchange, go to "API Management" and create a new API Key
- For permissions, only check "Trade" — never enable "Withdraw"
- Some exchanges (such as OKX) will require you to set a Passphrase; write it down yourself — you'll need to enter it when binding
- If the exchange supports an IP whitelist, follow the prompts to enhance security
- Copy the API Key and Secret (the Secret is usually shown only once, so be sure to save it on the spot)
Bind It in the App
Go back to the binding page, paste the Key / Secret (and Passphrase), and save.
Security bottom line: only enable the trade permission. Even if your Key leaks, without the withdraw permission no one can move your money out. We store the Secret encrypted, but please don't forward it to anyone.
